No you don’t. Most of our tanks require a ground bearing of 30kPa unless we tell you different.  Most scrape off the grass and topsoil then a 60mm compacted layer of crusher dust or fines.  Depending on the project there maybe specific site preparations requirements.

No.  Once the volume increases, so does the diameter and the circumference.  The aluminium base and top ring would then have the wrong curvature and the wire ropes would be too short.

Kliptank specialises in this situation.  Our tanks are engineered to be able to take some subsidence and movement.  We ask our customers to sign a Waiver at the time of entering into an Agreement to acknowledge that there will be extra monitoring involved and also they are likely to incur additional costs for site prep and maintenance.

Yes. Under the NZ Building Code any structure over 1.2m high or holding more than 35,000 litres requires a Building Consent. Kliptank will do all the paperwork and lodge this on your behalf.  We charge a small admin fee for this service and on-charge you what the Council charge us at the end of your installation. This process ensures a certified engineer signs off the tank design and does the site-specific structural calculations for seismic, wind and snow loadings.

Our standard trading terms are 40% on signing of an Agreement, a further 40% prior to your tank being dispatched and then a final 20% after installation plus any additional contract variations and associated Council fees.  Our invoices have 7 day terms.  Commercial and Export orders vary and this should be discussed with us prior to signing of a contract.

Yes it can. The tank must be empty and the liner completely cleaned before the install team arrive.  We can organise the Building Consent for the new location if it is not on the same property. Kliptank must decommission and reinstall your tank to keep the warranty valid.

15 years for the tank and 15 years for the liner.

Most of the time we are able to retrofit a cover however we will need to assess your tank to ensure we can carry out the work.

We source all our materials from NZ and are 100% manufactured in New Zealand

Yes. We can configure as many ports on the tank as you like and make them any size and type. Please ask us for more information.

Absolutely.  We have solutions to control the flow back in the sump to stop it overflowing or running dry.

Either yourself or your local contractors/pump agents. We will work together with all other parties from the start to make sure everyone is on the same page.

No. There are some special tools and training required to install a Kliptank properly. We also have a Quality Assurance process which requires checking of certain processes during the install which are a necessity to provide the warranty.

Yes. We have our tanks in situations where they are only needed temporarily and can be resold within the warranty period. We may be able to on-sell your tank depending on the enquiries in the market place at the time.
